On Sunday 4th August, Both P&D and our sister Company P&D Environmental attended the Whaley Bridge Dan collapse. We were asked to supply a floating structure that would allow 10 water pumps to run in the centre of the reservoir.
Working closely with Kier, our team installed over 500m² of our floating P&D³ and EZ Dock pontoon, including bespoke fabrications to allow the high volume pumps to be put in place and the pipes laid over the pontoon.
Our pontoon will be in use throughout the investigation and repair of the dam, ensuring the water level remains safe for the residents of Whaley Bridge and workers carrying out the repairs.
A huge well done to the P&D and P&DE team for pulling out all the stops on site, in the warehouse and in the office, completing the project in just 5 days.
